The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition recently released a study outlining the health advantages to eating salted and unsalted peanuts over their flavored counterparts. We'll outline it for you.

All study participants experienced a decrease in blood pressure when peanuts were introduced to their diets, but those who ate salted and unsalted peanuts were found to have greater decreases in blood pressure than those did not.

The Centers for Disease Control state that about 1 in 3 American adults has high blood pressure and that about 53% of those who do have the condition don't have it under control. About 30% of Americans with high blood pressure don't know they have it. They also state that high blood pressure increases the risk of heart attack and stroke. Including salted or unsalted peanuts into a healthy diet in place of a less healthy snack may help you manage your blood pressure.
