If you've ever done any research on ways to eat more healthy, you've been encouraged to include nuts and seeds in your diet--whether that be including them in your salads or your baking. But including them in our diets isn't always easy. You don't always want to snack on them plain, but a lot of options you find for variation are complicated and time-consuming.

Here are three quick ways you can get those nuts and seeds
into your snacks and meals. We promise they're simple.
Switch Your Peanut Butter:
Probably the easiest way to make sure you're eating nuts in
a healthy way is to switch your peanut butter. Lots of brands are full of extra
sugar and chemicals you could easily remove from your diet. If you don't like
peanuts, you can get plenty of other kinds of nut butters: almond, cashew, and
macadamia for example. We make two kinds of peanut butter: All-Natural and
Honey Roasted. The only ingredients in them are roasted and salted peanuts and
honey roasted peanuts, respectively. If you give us a call, we can make any
kind of nut butter for you. Then, you can smear it on crackers, apple slices,
celery. You know the drill! Skip the chips and go straight for the healthy
peanut butter.
Add Almonds to Your Popcorn:
People add everything from cheese to chocolate and caramel
to their popcorn on movie night. Avoiding those less healthy calories in favor
of almonds is a fast way to get a healthy crunch while holding onto that
buttery, salty popcorn flavor we all love. It's as easy as popping a bag,
shaking some almonds in, and pouring it into a bowl before your movie starts.
Seed Your Bread:
This is the most difficult option we have for you, but it's
definitely one of the most delicious options out there. If you make bread, an
awesome way to make it healthier is to add seeds. You can add them inside the
dough with very little effort, and you can even roll the top of the bread in
seeds. All you have to do to make them stick is use an egg wash or spray the
dough lightly with water before rolling it. Some great options for this are
sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds (we call them pepitas), chia seeds, and sesame seeds. In fact, most seeds work great for an irresistible loaf of bread!
